Nobel Peace Prize Nominee Andrew Young Summit

Andrew J. Young, is an icon in the world of human and civil rights, economic development, and International Diplomacy. A former Ambassador to the United Nations, a US Congressman, and mayor for City of Atlanta where he co-chaired the committee for hosting the 1996 Olympics, he now implements five major initiatives to end hunger and defeat malnutrition, increase prosperity and employment across the globe. “Coincidence is God’s way of Remaining Anonymous” Young says and while probably best known as the lieutenant to Martin Luther King, he is an tremendous advocate for youth and Peace Education. He was the keynote speaker for the 9th Annual Harold Schnitzer Spirit of Unity Awards Nov 6th and 7th. This year’s winners were honored at events throughout Oregon that included thousands of educators, elected officials, and students.
